that節の語順・境界・動詞選択の誤りを直そう
このレッスンの役割と目標
that節の内容箱、普通語順、動詞の使い分け、省略を学びました。今回は誤文を、節の骨格、語順、thatの境界、say・tellの選択に分けて直します。
目標は、主節と内容節を復元し、最初に崩れた箇所を理由つきで修正できることです。
おすすめの学び方
一文を二つの箱に分け、各箱へS・Vを書きます。その後、前の動詞が意見・知識・発言のどれを表すか確認してください。
四つの点検口
例題：質問語順を普通文へ戻す
誤文：I know that is the shop open.
- 主節はI＋knowです。
- 内容節はthe shop＋isです。
- that以下が疑問文の語順になっています。
I know that the shop is open.と直します。
誤文：She said me that she was tired.では、meを動詞の直後へ置くならtold meにします。

よくある間違い
thatという形だけ追加して、内容が何かを確認しないでください。that以下を「〜ということ」とまとめ、前の動詞の中身になるか読みます。
また、名詞を指すthatと内容を導くthatを混同しないよう、後ろにS＋Vの文が続くか確認します。
自分で確かめよう
確認1：I think that is he kind.を直してください。
`I think that he is kind.`です。確認2：Aya said us that the game was canceled.を直してください。
`Aya told us that the game was canceled.`です。確認3：We know she that can speak English.を直してください。
`We know that she can speak English.`です。thatは内容節の主語sheの前です。確認4：Ken told that he would come.を直す二つの方法を示してください。
`Ken said that he would come.`、または聞き手を補って`Ken told me that he would come.`です。まとめと次の一歩
that節誤文は、二組のS＋V、普通語順、内容の境界、前の動詞の選択を順に点検します。
